EVENTS

Steam on Queen

The first Steam on Queen in 2012 saw nearly 4500 people through the gates in a single day (that we actually counted... lord knows how many came in that we missed!). And despite the rain, the 2013 event drew even more. In terms of attendance, that makes it the single most successful Steampunk event in the world, ever.

And what's not to like? Continuous live entertainment and demonstrations, amazing merchants and artisans, and free admission makes this unique festival the darling of Queen Street for a day.

The next Steam on Queen will be held June 21st, 2014.

The Steam on Queen Bazaar

Not content to hold Steam on Queen just once a year, Canadian Steam Productions has begun producing seasonal 'Bazaars' at the historic Gladstone Hotel. These smaller scale, indoor events respond to the demand for Steampunk entertainment and wares in a more intimate setting.

The Steam on Queen Spring Bazaar will be held March 16th, 2014.

Gear Box Steampunk Burlesque

In May of 2012, Canadian Steam Productions teamed up with Les Coquettes and Red Herring Productions to provide a show that got everyone's gears grinding - complete with mad scientists, arcane inventions, luscious ladies, battling air pirates, and a merchant salon.

Adrenne Kress Book Launch

We were pleased to be part of the book launch and gala for Adrienne Kress' new novel, 'The Friday Society' in December of 2012 at Toronto's Gladstone Hotel. Canadian Steam Productions provided fascinating displays of props and mechanical devices, as well as promoting the event through Steampunk Canada.

Oshawa Library Presentation

In May of 2012, we were invited to create a Steampunk presentation at the Northview Branch of the Oshawa Public Library. Together with author Adrienne Kress and members of Steampunk Canada, we were thrilled to introduce a whole new audience to the world of Steampunk!

Adam Smith was responsible for creating the Steampunk programming for Toronto's FanExpo in 2010 and 2011. Fans were treated to fascinating costuming and props panels, as well as unique Steampunk entertainment and displays.
